Can Thread Veins Be Removed Permanently?
Thread vein treatments can reduce the appearance of some visible vessels, but the treated area and the likelihood of new veins matter.
What are thread veins?
Thread veins are small visible blood vessels, sometimes called spider veins or telangiectasias. They may appear on the face or legs and can have different causes.
Can treatment remove an existing vessel?
Some light-based or vascular treatments can close selected superficial vessels so they fade over time. Successful treatment of one vessel does not prevent new thread veins developing elsewhere.
Are results permanent?
A successfully treated vessel may not reappear, but recurrence or new vessels is possible. The answer depends on location, vessel size, skin type, underlying causes and the treatment used.
How many sessions are needed?
Some small vessels respond quickly while others require multiple sessions or a different treatment approach. A practitioner should assess the area before giving a personalised estimate.
Is Vasculase suitable for every thread vein?
No. Suitability depends on the device, the vessel and the skin. Larger leg veins or veins linked with circulation problems may require assessment by a medical professional rather than a cosmetic treatment.
Risks and aftercare
Temporary redness, swelling, crusting or bruising may occur; burns, pigmentation changes and scarring are less common but important risks. Follow the provider’s sun protection and aftercare advice.
When should you see a clinician first?
Seek medical assessment for painful, bleeding, rapidly changing or unexplained vessels, or for leg swelling, skin changes or suspected venous disease. Cosmetic treatment should not delay investigating a medical concern.
